DSKO søger ny national repræsentant til ESMO National Societies Committee

Repræsentanten vælges for en 2-årig periode – med mulighed for genvalg. Se venligst krav og specifikationer i nedenstående.

Ansøgningsfrist er 1. maj 2025. Motiveret ansøgning og CV sendes til DSKO. Ansøgere vurderes af DSKO bestyrelsen og den valgte repræsentant får direkte besked.

National Representative Profile:

The individual must be:

  • a member of the Board of the National Society, to ensure the most effective relationship, to ensure the exchange of information and to expedite approvals.
  • recognised in the national oncology community and well positioned to be able to follow up on various political and educational activities
  • well-versed with national issues and the changing medical oncology landscape
  • an ESMO member or willing to become one for the duration of their term
  • sufficiently fluent in English
  • ideally be engaged with ESMO, and have experience from serving or contributing to ESMO Committees or projects

Commitment

Maintain regular contact with the ESMO Head Office and the Committee Chair as required

  • Respond to requests and calls to action
  • Provide input and feedback on projects and action points as appropriate

Attend the Annual National Society Committee Meeting

  • National Representatives attending the ESMO Annual Congress in Europe will be invited to participate in an update meeting (maximum 2 hours) during the Annual Congress.

Attend National Societies Summit

  • ESMO National Societies Summit in Europe, typically held once per year as s a full day meeting with the ESMO Leadership to discuss and brainstorm topics/issues of interest to the European medical oncology community

Tasks

  • Act as a bridge between ESMO and the National Society
  • Serve as the National Representative and play an active role in advising ESMO about topics of relevance
  • Keep ESMO updated about changes in the National Society Board, name of President etc., Society initiatives, local activities etc.
  • Keep the National Society and local oncology community informed of ESMO activities of relevance
  • Assist in facilitating the relationship with politicians, health authorities, media, patient advocacy groups and other national key stakeholders, as appropriate
  • Provide/review key information about the national situation e.g. through survey/questionnaires, to ensure that ESMO is aware of the local situation
  • Nominate reviewers for surveys e.g. availability of anticancer medicines and to verify accuracy of data reported about the country
  • Obtain National Society endorsement of ESMO initiatives when requested e.g. Global Curriculum
